Recall the quadratic identities

(a) (a+b)^2= a^2+2ab+b^2

therefore (2x+4)^2 =4X^2 +16X + 16

(b) use the identity (a-b)^2= a^2 - 2ab + b^2

therefore b) (3x-5)^2 =9x^2 -30x +25

In (c) use the identity (a-b)(a+b) = a^2-b^2

hence (5x-2)(5x+2) = 25x^2-4^2
